Cosphaderm® Propanediol natural palm free is a clear, colourless diol with excellent polarity, resulting in complete solubility in water. This makes it a versatile ingredient for cosmetic formulations, where it is valued as a moisturising and humectant component.
Serving as a non-tacky alternative to glycerine, it may also be used as an emollient or solvent to optimise formulation performance. Manufactured via fermentation of corn-derived raw materials and applied as a substitute for propylene glycol, Cosphaderm® Propanediol natural palm free enables the creation of cosmetic products free from petrochemical and palm oil–derived ingredients. In addition, it supports preservation concepts by increasing preservative efficiency and contributing to the control of microbial growth.
