Cosphaderm® SB-75H is a hydrogenated, fractionated and de-oiled soybean lecithin supplied as a powder with a phosphatidylcholine content above 70 %. The hydrogenation of unsaturated fatty acid bonds results in improved oxidation resistance and superior emulsifying and dispersion properties in water-based formulations when compared to conventional fractionated lecithins.
The structural characteristics of hydrogenated lecithin make Cosphaderm® SB-75H an excellent ingredient for creating stable micelles and liposomes with compact interfaces. Furthermore, it functions as a reliable emulsifier and co-emulsifier in both O/W and W/O systems, including cold process emulsions, without influencing the formulation’s colour or odour.
