Cosphaderm® X 34 is a natural, transparent xanthan gum that is GMO-free and vegan and is produced by fermentation of glucose or sucrose with Xanthomonas campestris. The heteropolysaccharide complies with food and pharmaceutical specifications and serves as a highly effective thickener for cosmetic formulations.
In addition to high viscosity performance and a pleasant skin feel without affecting taste, colour or odour, Cosphaderm® X 34 effectively stabilises O/W emulsions by preventing the coalescence of oil droplets. Its agglomerated particle structure significantly reduces dust formation and enables particularly quick and easy solubilisation in water thanks to the enlarged surface area. The resulting solutions are tolerant to salts, acids, heat and ethanol.
