Cosphaderm® TOM is a 100 % natural, multifunctional blend comprising pentylene glycol, glyceryl caprylate, and glyceryl undecylenate. It is a liquid, easy-to-apply, colourless, and nearly odourless composition with emollient and humectant properties, suitable for a wide range of cosmetic formulations. Cosphaderm® TOM exhibits excellent broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, which is further enhanced by the synergistic interaction of its three components. This synergy results in a significant improvement in antimicrobial, particularly antifungal, efficacy compared with the individual ingredients. At the same time, pentylene glycol reduces the potential for emulsion destabilisation caused by the glyceryl esters.
