COSPHADERM® PANTHENOL NATURAL

Cosphaderm® Panthenol natural is the natural version of the proven active ingredient D-panthenol. As a manufacturer of high-quality cosmetic raw materials, we are aware of the growing demand for natural and effective ingredients. Cosphaderm® Panthenol natural is an answer to this demand – a true all-rounder that is not only effective but also sustainable.

What is Cosphaderm® Panthenol natural made of?

Panthenol, also known as provitamin B5, is an essential ingredient in many skin and hair care products. In the skin, it is converted to Pantothenic Acid, an important component of cell metabolism, which supports skin regeneration and repair. Our 100 % natural Cosphaderm® Panthenol natural is obtained from sustainable sources and is COSMOS-approved.

Nature meets versatility

The unique moisturising and skin soothing effectiveness of panthenol makes it an established and indispensable raw material in the cosmetics industry. Hence why Panthenol is one of the most widely used active ingredients in cosmetics!

How is Cosphaderm® Panthenol natural produced?

Our natural D-Panthenol is produced through biofermentation of glucose from corn. It meets the highest quality standards and is biodegradable, making it an ideal choice for green and vegan cosmetic lines.

UNLEASH THE POWER OF NATURE  – WITH NATURAL PANTHENOL

Moisturings symbol

Moisturising:

Studies show that panthenol improves skin hydration, reduces transepidermal water loss and thus makes the skin more supple1 This is especially helpful for dry or irritated skin 2 . It is therefore particularly suitable for moisturising creams, serums and masks.

Soothing and wound care:

Panthenol has an anti-inflammatory effect and soothes irritated skin. It is often used to treat skin irritations, minor wounds and burns. Dermatological studies show that the active ingredient supports the healing of skin damage by promoting the formation of new cells 3 . It is a favoured ingredient in after-sun and baby products and also provides soothing care for skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis4.

Wound Healing

Strengthening the skin barrier:

Panthenol improves the skin’s resistance and supports its natural protective function against external influences such as environmental stress. It improves the skin’s elasticity and protects the skin by promoting lipid synthesis5.

Haircare:

In hair care products, panthenol provides shine, improves combability and helps to reduce hair breakage. It has an antistatic effect and improves the hair’s resistance to mechanical stress. It is therefore often used in shampoos, conditioners and leave-in products.

Hair Care

Nailcare:

A study published in the ‘International Journal of Cosmetic Science’ investigated the penetration of panthenol into human nails. Panthenol effectively penetrates into the nail plate, where it unfolds its moisturising effect, which improves the flexibility and strength of the nails6.
